Today, I’m breaking down 3 types of common bedroom designs that you should avoid at all costs, no matter how beautiful they appear in real estate photos or Pinterest boards. And I’m doing it in the only way I know how:With LEGO.
Because let’s be honest — if your room feels like it was designed by stress, you might as well diagnose it in style.

🚫 #1 Bed on Top of Stove
“Congrats — you’re the human dim sum.”
Sleeping above a kitchen stove might be efficient in compact lofts, but in Feng Shui, it’s considered a major no-no. The heat from the stove below generates unstable, agitated fire energy (火气 huǒ qì) — and guess who’s absorbing it while trying to rest?
This layout leads to:
Stress build-up
Overheating in sleep
A restless, wired mind — even when you’re lying still
In Feng Shui, the kitchen is the fire of the home — but you should never sleep above fire. It's like steaming your subconscious on low heat, every night.

🚽 #2 Toilet Is Behind Your Head
“You’re supposed to rest, not absorb bathroom qi like a sponge.”
When your bed shares a wall with the bathroom — especially when the toilet is directly behind your headboard — your energy becomes what I call... “porous.”
Feng Shui believes bathrooms carry draining, cleansing energy (煞气 shà qì). If it’s behind your head, it can:
Drain mental focus
Cause neck/shoulder discomfort
Make you feel perpetually tired
Subtle? Yes. But over time, your body knows. And your energy tells the story.

💨 #3 Bedhead Facing a Window
“Your head is catching breeze — not ZZZs.”
If your bedhead is right under a large window, you're positioned in what we call a leaking Qi setup. Energy doesn't anchor. Your body feels exposed, unstable, and overstimulated. Not to mention you're catching external wind, light, and city noise.
The result?
Light, broken sleep
Morning fatigue
Moodiness or overthinking
A beautiful view is lovely — but not at the cost of your calm. If you wake up more tired than when you slept, start by looking behind your pillow.

🛠 Feng Shui Fixes?
Don’t stack sleep above fire or water.
Place solid support behind your bed.
If there’s a window, anchor it with a solid headboard + thick curtains.
